COVID-19 Policies/Procedures Effective Immediately

Dear Bent Creek Tennis Members,

Bent Creek tennis continues to be open for play under applicable CDC and State guidelines and USTA recommendations. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we move through this difficult time.

It is essential that all Bent Creek tennis staff, members, players, and parents follow these rules to avoid the potential spread of the coronavirus and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

  • Get Back In The Game! (Procedures for playing)

    • Our courts are ready and available for play beginning June 5th.

    • All play must be reserved in advance. No walk-ups will be allowed without a court reservation.

    • Reserve your court by calling the pro shop at (717) 581-1001 or email at tennis@bentcreekcc.com. You can also book online through the Club website.

    • There will be a desk attendant available at the pro shop from 9:00 am–7:00 pm Monday- Friday, 9:00 am-4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, for assistance.

    • The tennis clubhouse will be open for limited use during this initial phase of reopening. Bathrooms will be accessible.

    • Courts will be limited to 4 people per court unless they are in the same family. Certain small group lessons above this number will be permitted with permission from the Tennis Director.

    • Thursday night doubles, Saturday morning clinic, and Sunday doubles will be limited to a certain number of members and sign-ups in advance will be required.

    • In order to be fair to all members who wish to play, all sign-ups will be subject to a 24- hour cancellation notice. Because spots are limited, any member who fails to show for an event will forfeit their opportunity to sign up for the next event.

    • Guest Play is allowed as long as name/reservation is booked in advance. The same guest is permitted twice a month.

    • The hitting wall/backboard will be open for use.

  • Be Considerate of Others and Consider Your Own Health!

    • Bent Creek Tennis Staff will be considerate of you by taking their temperatures prior to coming to work and staying home if they have a fever or feel ill.

    • Members should not use the tennis courts if they have a fever or are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 within the last 2 weeks.

    • The CDC recommends that anyone with a preexisting condition, or who is over the age of 65, take extra precautions, so we will be offering “Early Bird” play to those of you who fit these criteria. Early bird hours are 8:00 am-9:00 am Monday–Friday and will take place on Courts 5 and 6. Please remember to book your court online or by calling the pro shop.

    • Bent Creek staff will be cleaning “touch points” such as gates, door handles, hoppers, baskets, ball machine, tennis balls etc. around the tennis facility frequently throughout the day.

  • When you arrive at Bent Creek Tennis Courts:

    • Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your reserved court time.

    • Check in with the desk attendant to confirm which court and list all players participating. We must keep record of all players using the facility.

    • Hand Sanitizer will be strategically placed on each court.

    • No on-court water will be provided. Players are encouraged to bring their own water. Access to the pro shop water fountain will be available for refills when the pro shop is open.

    • Bottled Water, Sport Drinks, Balls, grips and other tennis items will be available for purchase in the pro shop.

    • Please bring your own towel.

    • Please maintain social distancing, 6ft. minimum, at all times unless you are with your family.

    • Feel free to wear a mask while at the tennis courts/grounds.

    • Towels, water bottles, glasses and any other items you are bringing to the court other than your racquet and balls should be kept in your tennis bag..

  • When you leave Bent Creek Tennis Courts:

    • Make sure to take all of your belongings with you. There will be no lost and found.

    • Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in these times. We are all extremely excited to get back out on the courts and begin our journey back to the new “normal”. We are all in this together and we can’t wait to see you out there!

Please don’t hesitate to contact: Alex Mast, Tennis Director at: amast@bentcreekcc.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank You,
The Bent Creek Tennis Team
